What is TUDCA?

TUDCA (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid) is a bile acid naturally found in small amounts in the human body. Bile acids are produced by the gallbladder to help with fat digestion. Historically, TUDCA was used in traditional Chinese medicine, originally derived from bear bile. Today, all TUDCA supplements are synthetically produced without animal sources.
